Indie quartet The Vaccines consists of Justin Long (vocals, guitar), Árni Hjörvar (bass), Freddie Cowan (guitar) and Pete Robertson (drums). The newly-formed London-based band posted a Youtube video of demo “If You Wanna” in August 2010 which quickly received praise from music fans and the industry alike; Zane Low named it his “Hottest Record In the World” that month. The band’s debut album “What Did you Expect From the Vaccines?” was released in March 2011 and reached number 4 in the UK Album Chart. Winning NME and XFM newcomer awards and a successful stint playing the prized opening slot of the NME Awards Tour in 2011 gained The Vaccines further critical acclaim.
