Eric H. Baker
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Eric H. Baker is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of viagogo.
Prior to viagogo, Eric founded StubHub.com, the leading U.S. online secondary ticketing company for live events. Eric originated the StubHub concept and took StubHub from an idea on a sheet of paper to a rapidly growing, profitable business that has revolutionised the way that fans buy tickets in the secondary market. As founder and President, Eric developed the concept and business plan and was primarily responsible for sales/business development, strategic planning, financing, and public relations.
Prior to StubHub, Eric was an associate with Bain Capital, a private equity firm based in Boston. At Bain Capital, Eric focused primarily on technology leveraged buyouts. Prior to that, Eric worked at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where he focused primarily on the Internet and electronic commerce issues. Eric graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College (’95) and received his MBA at Stanford Business School (’01).
Eric has been quoted in publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, Business Week, and The Sports Business Journal. Eric has also appeared on broadcast outlets including CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, ESPN, Fox, and National Public Radio.
Alex Zivoder
Managing Director Europe
Alex Zivoder is Managing Director Europe at viagogo. Alex is responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the company.
Alex brings to the team a comprehensive understanding of European e-commerce, mainly through his time at Expedia. He started at the online travel company as MD of France before taking on the position of Senior Vice President Europe. This saw him take charge of operations in the UK, Germany, France and Italy.
Previous to this Zivoder gained invaluable international management experience with Tele2, a global telecoms business of Stenbeck's Kinnevik group, and Eurostat, the Statistical Office of European Communities. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Nice and a degree in statistics and business administration from ENSAE, Paris.
John Morris
Chief Operating Officer
John Morris is Chief Operating Officer at viagogo. As COO, John aims to ensure a smooth and seamless transaction process for both buyers and sellers. He has overall responsibility for the operations, logistics and customer service functions.
John brings over 20 years experience in e-commerce operations and customer management. Prior to viagogo, John held a number of senior management positions including Operations Director at lastminute.com throughout its rapid growth phase and previously he was also a Director at Thomas Cook for a number of years, heading up their direct sell division. More recently John was a director at a specialist US consultancy heading up their global customer management and research practice, assisting major multi-national organisations with sourcing strategies.
John received a BA in Economics from the University of Nottingham.
James Wright
Head of Engineering
James Wright is the Head of Engineering at viagogo. He oversees the entire product and technology infrastructure of viagogo’s market platform.
Prior to viagogo, James worked at Unisys where he solved performance and scalability problems for multi-national corporations. He also led development at other Internet start-ups.
James has a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.
Cristopher Miller
Head of Sales and Partnerships
Cristopher Miller is the Head of Sales and Partnerships at viagogo. He directs and oversees all strategic development of the management between viagogo and professional sports clubs, is responsible for the development of the ‘sell side’ of the business, including product development and business management services for viagogo sellers.
Cristopher brings over five years of experience in online secondary ticketing via his previous position with StubHub.com. As Director of Business Development of StubHub.com, Cris was integral to building StubHub.com into the leading secondary ticket provider in North America. His responsibilities included the development, creation and management of the department responsible for ‘seller’ identification and recruiting; servicing the ‘seller’; and quality control management. He also provided early leadership in the efforts to sign key partnerships with professional sports teams in the U.S.
Prior to StubHub.com, Cristopher worked with Nike on several international projects and events including The French Open, Wimbledon, The Paris World Cup and the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Additionally, he assisted Stanford University in the strategic development and fulfillment of their corporate sponsorship program.
Cristopher received a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Sales from the University of Arizona.
Daniel Nathrath
Country Manager Germany, Austria, Switzerland
Daniel is responsible for viagogo's business in the German-speaking markets. This includes partnerships such as viagogo's partnership with Bayern Munich, business development activities as well as overall responsibility for viagogo's German language websites.
A lawyer by training, Daniel brings experience from various management positions at Bertelsmann subsidiary Lycos Europe from 1999 to 2003, including General Counsel, Director Business Development and Product Management and Board Member of Danish portal Jubii. From 2004 to 2006, Daniel worked as a strategy consultant for the Boston Consulting Group and in 2006 he founded a successful online entertainment startup.
In addition to his law studies at the universities of Bonn, Strasbourg, Cambridge and Houston (LL.M.) and business studies at INSEAD, Daniel Nathrath holds an MBA degree from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.
Peter Albers
Director, North America
Peter Albers leads viagogo’s business in North America.
Peter brings extensive sales, deal structuring, contract negotiation, and management experience from the business development and operations roles he’s held for startup and enterprise software companies. Most recently, Peter was Director of Worldwide Operations with BEA Systems, where he helped to restructure an international business unit which became the most profitable division of the company.
Peter received his BA in Economics from Harvard College and his MBA from London Business School.
Edward Parkinson
Online Marketing Director
Edward Parkinson is Online Marketing Director at viagogo. Edward is responsible for managing viagogo’s online marketing channels including search engine marketing and affiliate marketing and for building viagogo’s marketing reach through strategic partnerships.
Prior to joining viagogo, Edward worked as a strategy consultant for Marakon Associates in London and New York, advising leading corporations and non-profit organisations on marketing and business unit strategy.
Edward graduated with a Masters in Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
Christie Graham
Business Analytics Director
Christie Graham is Business Analytics Director at viagogo. Christie is responsible for defining, tracking and reporting key metrics across the company and improving business decisions through insight gained from the analysis of data.
Prior to joining viagogo, Christie worked as an associate at The Carlyle Group, a private equity firm based in Washington, DC, where she focused primarily on leveraged buyouts in the industrial space. Prior to The Carlyle Group, Christie worked at the investment bank Merrill Lynch, where she focused on leveraged finance and financial sponsor transactions.
Christie graduated with distinction from The University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in commerce.
